E3: 10 Most Hilarious Moments From Past Conferences

6. Wii Music Drumming (2008)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kw_Bd-13YCk&fmt=18 We all fancy ourselves as musicians. Everybody at some point in their life has drummed their fingers on a table to the tune on the radio or grabbed their hairbrush and wailed away, secretly hoping nobody overhears them. Music has a rich, important history in gaming too, so it makes sense for the two to be closely linked. Nintendo's experiments into innovative gameplay with the Wii eventually led them to the idea of creating a music game utilising the console's motion controls to play virtual instruments, birthing Wii Music - and really, there was only one way to show the game off to a live audience. To be fair to Ravi (whoever he is), he looks like he's having a great time thrashing around on stage. Initially, he's even playing a pretty catchy beat, although it quickly breaks down into an unrecognisable mess. In true rockstar fashion, he kept holding his hands up between fills to encourage a reaction from the audience; however they were clearly unimpressed and decided to simply judge silently. Approaching the end of his short but sweet set, Ravi decides to just go mental (skip to the minute mark on the video above). He simply flails away with the Wiimote and Nunchuck, no longer caring that it sounds like he's hurled a drum set down the stairs, his facial expression alone selling the moment as he looks like he's suddenly having regrets about agreeing to the whole thing. At least the first bit resembled Phil Collins' In The Air Tonight. Rock on, Ravi.

I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
