The trailer draws you in with an ominous narration, all while vaguely hinting at a monstrous presence lurking in the shadows that is just waiting to tear you apart. It appears to be a combination of machine and organic parts, taking centre stage in the final moments of the trailer as the title appears, along with a confirmation that a larger scale reveal is set for QuakeCon in July. This initial tease looks absolutely gorgeous, running on the stunning Id Tech 5, and promising a game that continues to push the limits of what we expect games to look like. The latest Doom is a title that has been stuck in development hell for six years, forcing fans of the series to wait patiently until Id was ready to reveal more, but this E3 reveal seems to indicate that this entry will be everything that fans have been waiting for.
