The CG reveal trailer for the original Dead Island was one of the greatest video game trailers of all time, as it showcased the haunting image of a family's final moments against the zombie apocalypse. They have continued the tradition at this year's E3 with the amazing reveal trailer for Dead Island 2, which showcases the zombie outbreak in that trademark Deep Silver style. Though the trailer is played largely for humor, with an oblivious jogger that is seemingly unaware of the disaster happening behind him, but it also speaks very clearly to something much deeper. The decay happens right in front of us, an obvious social commentary on the state of human society and its obsession with body image, as well as the excess that humans continue to strive for. It's an interesting message, one that you can take in a number of different ways, and it's more than enough to keep us satisfied until the first-person zombie killing arrives in 2015.
