9. Destiny
The title I am probably most excited about peeping at at E3 is Destiny, mostly because the game is still such a mystery to me. It seems like such an interesting idea with massive amount of potential. Bungie's newest endeavour is going to be a really exciting one one way or the other. While Halo is off doing its thing in the capable hands of 343i, it will be interesting to see what Master Cheif's caretakers have been doing in his absence. Perhaps the reason the game has so much potential is because we simply just don't know that much about it. We know the project is going to be part of a 10 year production between Bungie and Activision that will allow players to really explore their own story and character. Played in first person, the game is going to have MMO elements that help the world the player inhabits come to life. Bungie have been careful to not use the word MMO, but instead have said it is an always-online "shared-world shooter". It will be interesting to see exactly what that entails and how big the definition is between itself and other MMO shooters. I will be heading over to the Activision booth and hopefully will be able to get some answers out of the people in charge so I can paint a more concrete picture of what the game is, the 10 year plan and the character building.
