E3 2013: 10 Reveals We Are Most Excited About

3. Xbox One

Xbox One The Xbox One has a lot to prove over E3. They need to come out of the gate and really hit the ground running if they want to take favour with the hardcore gaming community. Microsoft have always said that they wanted to focus on the entertainment at their reveal and the games at E3, which so far has been an iffy strategy for them. They have to make sure these games are massive and they have to have all the answers when asked because not many at the show are going to give them leeway. As I have pointed out a few days ago, it is possible that the Xbox One could gain a large part of the casual gaming market. They have a centralised entertainment system that will offer a Smart TV experience at a price cheaper price. However, many of the moves Microsoft have been making have alienated the more loyal community of gamers and may well have caused some of the more savvy to migrate towards the Playstation 4, which Sony have assured people is a games console first. The lack of used game support and DRM are going to be on everyone's lips at E3 with the press and fans wanting to know more about the system's restricting policies. The Xbox One has got it all to do, and it is going to be mighty interesting to see that they say come next Monday. I will be at their conference on the 10th and I will hopefully push for some answers that I know you guys want.
