E3 2015: 12 Biggest Moments From Microsoft's Xbox Conference
9. The Xbox One Gets A New Controller
Rumoured a while back as a rework of the standard XO controller with the PS4's headset adapter tacked on the bottom, Microsoft instead unveiled a completely different beast. The new Xbox One pad for 2015 is a third party manufacturer-influenced tech-savvy piece of kit that not only lets you swap out the various components on top - like buttons, the D-pad or the triggers etc. - but comes with all-new back paddles behind the forefinger grips, to essentially let you fire with using the back of the pad instead. It's a really crazy-looking design but will definitely appeal to the hardcore gamer crowd who are always looking for modified ways to play - and that's without mentioning how Microsoft are essentially trying to one-up the new Steam Controller; a new pad with similar back-buttons on the grips.
