9. FIFA 17's Story Mode Has A Fixed Protagonist

Following the lead of NBA 2K16's divisive MyCareer mode, FIFA 17 will feature the series' first-ever story mode, called The Journey.

Taking control of a young prospect by the name of Alex Hunter, the player can join a Premier League team of their choosing and embark on a story that's clearly full of dramatic twists and turns.

Whether the story mode itself will be any good, there's one major niggle: you're forced to play as Hunter, which takes away the fantastical wish fulfillment quality the mode could have. That we apparently don't even have the ability to change the look of Alex is particularly baffling and disappointing.

While the end result could still be a fun addition to the series, it's a shame we're made to play as a fixed character for its duration.
