E3 2016: 6 Ups & 5 Downs From EA's Conference
4. Fe Is The Conference's Single Original IP
After the success of Unravel earlier this year, EA announced the beginning of EA Originals at E3, a scheme where they would support up-and-coming developers, with all the profits being funneled back into the respective companies.
The first game from the label is Fe, and much like Unravel's reveal at last year's E3, we got a nervous Scandinavian man to introduce it.
The 3D platformer will follow a young cub as he explores a fantastical forest. The game will apparently focus on our relationship with nature, feature no spoken words, and as the player learns songs, they will unlock more locales. It was also said that the game won't hand-hold the player, promoting freedom, and it was implied that stealth will need to be employed to get around the dark, mysterious enemies you come across.
Sure, it doesn't look as pretty or cute as Unravel, but it's an original IP at an EA conference, so that's a cause for celebration.
