E3 2016: 6 Ups & 5 Downs From EA's Conference

5. Mass Effect: Andromeda Looks Gorgeous

While we sadly only saw about a collective minute of Mass Effect: Andromeda gameplay clips, at least what we saw was absolutely gorgeous.

This can largely be attributed to Andromeda being the first game in the franchise to use EA's coveted Frostbite engine, which is arguably the best-looking games engine going right now.

From spaceships hurtling through space to gunfights against giant monsters and driving a dune buggy around a desert planet, Andromeda looks like a significant visual step up from what came before. Facial animations in particular look a lot more realistic and appear to have taken at least one leg out of the uncanny valley.

As if the hype couldn't ramp up anymore, the game is clearly going to be a technical marvel.
