E3 2016: 9 Things To Expect From Spider-Man On PS4
6. It's Going To Upset A Lot Of People
Contrary to titles gone by, where gamers everywhere would react in unison with childlike wonder at the prospect of their favourite costume-clad characters getting the gaming treatment, this potential release is bound to divide.
Not because it'll most likely be bad, not at all. But in case you hadn't noticed gamers really don't like it when big names are sealed off behind exclusivity deals, especially when they don't have access to the format in which it's being restricted to. You only need to look at the nigh-ridiculous reaction Arkham Asylum fans had to the PlayStation exclusive playable Joker for confirmation of that fact, so if you take that collective outrage and apply it to a whole other licence altogether, you can only imagine the level of vitriol that could soon be unleashed upon our horizon.
Those who have a PlayStation won't have to worry about anything obviously, but if you don't then, well, I can only express my sympathies. Unless of course it ends up being awful, in which case you're more than entitled to embrace your inner-Nelson and collectively 'Haw haw' at everyone unfortunate enough to have preordered it.
