Sony ended their conference by showing off some jaw-dropping gameplay from their new Spider-Man game, though responses were a little mixed to how heavily scripted the cinematic gameplay seemed, especially with its abundance of QTE sequences.

Insomniac Games subsequently confirmed many things about the game, specifically that QTEs are only used during cinematic moments, and the game is for the most part an open-world adventure, except when the player is funneled into the more linear, cinematic sequences as shown during Sony's conference.

Insomniac also stated that the world will be 4-6 times larger than their terrific Sunset Overdrive. As long as these "cinematic moments" don't overpower the freedom to swing around New York City, this is probably going to be one Hell of a game.
