E3 2017: 5 Ups & 4 Downs From Nintendo Spotlight

2. It Was Only 25 Minutes Long

Though Nintendo did make this clear ahead of time, that did little to lessen the frustration that their initial livestream was just 25 minutes long. This required most of the games shown off to be rushed through in what ultimately would've felt so much more exciting if Nintendo just returned to the classic conference formula, or simply committed to a show running at least an hour in length.

Yes, there was the Treehouse livestream immediately after the show where a bunch of extra announcements were made, but did Nintendo really think that a 3DS remake of Metroid 2 wasn't worthy of at least a few minutes in their Spotlight?

It's a bizarre presentation philosophy from Nintendo, albeit one they seem wholly committed to, for better and for worse.
