2. Super Mario Odyssey Is Out October 27...With Dinosaurs

Super Mario Odyssey of course made an appearance during the show, with a terrific trailer which demonstrated Mario's ability to use his hat to transform into characters and objects throughout the world, such as taxis, toads, tanks and, yes, even dinosaurs.

It's an hilarious gimmick which should help Odyssey stand distinct from the plumber's recent platforming efforts, and to sweeten the deal, Switch owners don't even have long to wait, as the game will be hitting stores on October 27th.

The smart money seemed on a date much closer to Christmas going by Nintendo's original wording, but instead, Mario's latest big adventure is barely four months away.
