1. Starlink: Battle For Atlas Is A Cash-Grab Toys-To-Life Game

Starlink: Battle for Atlas is a new sci-fi IP which will allow you to build a spaceship out of real-life toy parts, which will then be represented in the game itself.

Sure, there's an audience for games like this (kids, mainly), and the visuals look fine, but it's hard to be that enthusiastic about a game that's so blatantly trying to wring extra cash out of players' pockets with a wildly unnecessary toy gimmick.

Toys-to-life is a much-sneered-at video game genre, and typically with good reason, so the No Man's Sky-looking title will surely end up getting a hard pass from many.

As brutal as the conference already sounds, it was in fact a pretty solid improvement on previous years overall. Here's everything that actually worked...
