Ups...

A sigh of relief was breathed by many viewers this past week when Ubisoft confirmed that perennial Ubisoft conference host and cringe merchant Aisha Tyler would not be taking part in this year's show.

Instead, the conference was presented by Yves Guillemot for the most part, and though he lacked Tyler's effusive enthusiasm (not to mention youthful good looks), he also wasn't trying too hard to make the show about himself, and kept the focus on the games after last year's horrendously bloated two-hour show.

It remains to be seen whether this is a new strategy to try and win viewers over or Tyler simply wasn't available, but either way, it was refreshing to see her sit this one out.
