2. Violence In The Last Of Us Part II
The fact that this is an issue just goes to show how some people don't get the point of The Last of Us.
Yes, The Last of Us Part II looks immensely violent, but that's kind of what the games are all about. They are as much about the degradation of humanity and violence surrounding it as they are about trying to rebuild from it.
In all fairness, the violence on show in the demo was absolutely insane. Every movement feels incredibly visceral in a way that not even the first game pulled off, and that made it quite shocking to watch. This from the Crash Bandicoot developers? Mad.
But that's what makes it all the more impressive. The fact that Naughty Dog are so committed to the themes of the world they've created is incredible, and even if the violence is incredibly detailed it never goes too far.
One thing's certain though: this game is rated M for Mature.
