7. Horizon Zero Dawn Sequel

Another one from Polygon's writeup and backed up by Guerrilla posting for a series of jobs that indicate an increased project scale, Horizon Zero Dawn is reportedly getting its second instalment announced during the Sony conference.

To be honest, it makes a lot of sense. Sony already have everything from Death Stranding to The Last of Us II and The Ghost of Tsushima to show off - so why not bolster that with a sequel to one of their most well-received games so far?

Zero Dawn easily has one of the best stories in all modern entertainment, ending its first instalment with 99% of plot threads satisfyingly tied up - only for a last-minute stinger to tease an inevitable followup.

Though it's highly doubtful "Horizon 2" (or whatever it ends up being called) releases this year, it's been two years since launch, and there's an entire fandom waiting for word of what's next.
