E3 2018: 13 Insane Announcements That Could Actually Happen
11. Nintendo Reveals A Switch Revision
There have been murmurs for several months that Nintendo may be secretly working on a hardware revision for the Nintendo Switch, which would include more RAM, an advanced circuit-board and nifty quality-of-life fixes such as moving the much-complained about USB-C port from the bottom of the console to the top.
The word on the street is that Nintendo just might reveal the Switch 1.5 during their Treehouse presentation at E3.
How Likely Is It?: Business analysts have claimed that Nintendo is actually going to hold off on announcing an iterative Switch and focus instead on peripherals for the existing unit.
While it's possible these reports could be wrong, it's also easy to believe Nintendo will wait another year or two before tinkering with the Switch's design, for fear of upending its elegant simplicity or overshadowing the expected E3 unveilings of Metroid Prime 4 and Super Smash Bros. for Switch.
