E3 2018: 15 Last Minute Rumours You Need To Know
4. Fallout 76 Is A Multiplayer Survival Game
Bethesda dropped a vague teaser trailer for their new game Fallout 76 last week, with the promise that more will revealed during their E3 conference.
There's been intense speculation about the game's true nature ever since, though a report from Kotaku suggests it's "an online survival RPG that’s heavily inspired by games like DayZ and Rust."
The article goes on to claim that Fallout 76 started life as a Fallout 4 multiplayer prototype but has evolved quite a bit over the years, now including a full story and quests, as well as base-building and other non-specific survival mechanics.
How Likely Is It?: Kotaku writer Jason Schreier has heaps of credibility so there's little reason to doubt this. Even on its own, this just sounds right.
