E3 2018: 5 Ups & 5 Downs From Bethesda's Conference

The most obviously bloated aspect of the show was Bethesda's ill-advised decision to double down on non-console games and niche titles that only appeal to a small portion of the company's fanbase.

Bethesda devoted a stamina-draining amount of time to the card game The Elder Scrolls: Legends, a new mobile game called The Elder Scrolls: Blades and The Elder Scrolls Online, but do most people watching give the faintest of damns about these things? Absolutely not.

That's not to claim they're bad games, only that they don't really belong on the E3 show stage, and just added more fat to a presentation that already thoroughly outstayed its welcome.

These segments did give everyone a pretty decent toilet/snack break, though, so there's that.
