E3 2018: 5 Ups & 5 Downs From Bethesda's Conference
3. That Insane Skyrim Alexa "Commercial"
Proving that they don't take themselves entirely seriously, Bethesda aired an hilarious skit during the show, which teased the arrival of Skyrim on... Alexa.
The faux-advert stars Keegan-Michael Key as a guy instructing Alexa to play Skyrim for him, as an announcer hypes up the fact that "Skyrim and life become one."
Key ends up making a mess in his living room as he shouts "Fus-ro-dah!", and his wife amusingly retorts, "Is there a command for picking s*** up?"
The ad concluded by announcing that "Skyrim: Very Special Edition" would also be releasing on Etch-a-Sketch, Motorola pagers, and Samsung smart-fridges. Considering the long-running joke about Bethesda planning to release Skyrim on every piece of tech imaginable, it was neat to see them poking a little self-aware fun at themselves.
