E3 2018: 5 Ups & 5 Downs From Ubisoft's Conference

4. The Lack Of New Game Reveals

Depressing it was that, over the course of Ubisoft's 90-minute show, they revealed just a single new game - which we'll get to later - that hadn't been previously announced or confirmed.

As a result the presser lacked the freshness and excitement that fans typically associate with E3 conferences. Remember when Ubi shocked the world with Watch Dogs back in 2012?

It's not like they even had to reveal new IP or long-rumoured sequels of that magnitude, but just give viewers something more than the typical, safe staple Ubisoft genres, franchises and gameplay loops they've been dining out on for years.

After all, it's impressive that Ubisoft is still supporting Rainbow Six: Siege and For Honor, but do these games really need to be discussed on the E3 stage?
