E3 2018: Fallout 76 - 7 Reasons Why It's A Huge Mistake

6. Multiplayer Changes The Game Fundamentally

Fallout 76 Exploration

Fallout with friends should, in an ideal world, be a problem-free experience. In fact it should be one everyone can get behind, even if some players don't end up pursuing the feature proper.

This would be the case had Bethesda accounted for those who want a traditional Fallout experience, and while 76 will be playable alone, it's a case of it can be played that way - not that it should be.

Fallout, for the past ten or so years at least, has always been a role-playing series. With no one to interact with, no traditional quests to explore and nothing but a barren wasteland to keep you company, it's difficult to see how it maintains a sense of longevity.
