E3 2019: 7 Ups & 6 Downs From Microsoft's Conference

Microsoft unveiled the second iteration of their much-praised Elite Controller by way of a borderline-pornographic trailer which, in fairness, did a fantastic job selling just how damn sleek and sexy the thing looks.

The Series 2 model will include a rechargeable battery, Bluetooth connectivity, three custom profiles and more than 30 new customisable features.

As you'd expect, the controller is compatible with both Xbox One and PC, which with the launch of Game Pass on PC, couldn't feel better timed.

Naturally the trailer didn't reveal the controller's price, which is never a good thing, and Microsoft later confirmed that it will cost a mighty $179.99 - that's $30 more than the Series 1 launched for.

No word yet on if it'll be compatible with Project Scarlett hardware, but that would certainly be a fine selling point.

The Elite Series 2 will release on November 4.
