EA Sports UFC Demo: 10 Broken Things EA Must Fix Before Release

4. Crazy Cardio

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=yqhywv32dOY Granted nobody wants a player to be rewarded for playing too defensively, but when you€™re throwing dozens of strikes and the spinning attacks EA seem to love so much without tiring, you know that something has gone amiss. As per the UFC€™s website, the average number of significant strikes absorbed by a UFC fighter per round is 2.61. Adhering to this meagre number of strikes would make the game too slow, but that doesn€™t mean both fighters should be throwing non-stop without tiring €“ EA UFC should achieve a happy-medium between these two undesirable extremes. In THQ€™s Undisputed UFC series we had the ability to choose between simulation stamina or the more forgiving default fitness mode before a fight. EA UFC€™s goal was to be the most realistic MMA game to date so it should default to a more realistic cardio system, with the option to adjust to a forgiving fitness mode for casual players. Ideally, rather than just having the opposing simulation and casual modes, the game would have a slider for player€™s to select the perfect balance between realism and amusement for them.
