With over 400 of the worlds finest fighters being signed to the UFC, it was inevitable that some names would disappointingly be left out of EA Sports forthcoming UFC game. The insane detail in which the games character models are rendered would mean that the title would be far too big and take far too long to create for everyones favourite fighters to be featured. Thankfully, EA have promised that select fighters will become available to purchase as DLC after the games release. However, some of the omissions from the games starting roster of 99 fighters are so egregious that it is shocking that EA were able to justify leaving them out. Some fighters who have been included in the initial roster seem far less deserving of a place than those who have not made the cut. The decisions as to which fighters were included is at times baffling. One must also question why on earth EA chose to include the gimmick-character of Bruce Lee who never fought a single MMA bout over some legitimate title-contenders in their divisions. Granted, with the absence of Brock Lesnar from the sport, EA need to heighten the games mainstream appeal however, it must be remembered that the game is supposed to cater primarily for MMA fans.
