Elden Ring: 10 Most Difficult Bosses You'll Encounter

Right before you think you’ll finally be facing the final boss and be done with the game, a character called Godfrey, The First Lord, will stand in your way. At first, this seems like a simple fight right before the final boss, you’ve even fought this guy earlier in the game, but the actual challenge ends up being much more complicated than expected.

His first phase is already hard enough, with attacks that can kill you in one hit if you aren’t careful, and once you take out enough of his health, he’ll start using AOE attacks that are impossible to evade unless you dodge at just the right moment.

But then comes his next phase, Hoarah Loux, when Godfrey decides to ditch all the weapons and show us his wrestling skills. Here, he can grapple you, throw you, and easily combo you to death with a wide variety of attacks. Unless you have a significant health bar, just getting thrown into the air once by him can mean instant death.

For this fight, assistance is necessary, whether by other players online or through Mimic Ashes. Make sure to have someone distracting him and dodging each of his attacks while the rest hit him with everything. When he changes to Hoarah Loux, figure out his pattern for all the instant-kill grapple moves, and you should be okay.
