5. Ranni's Ultimate Goal
It's fair to say Ranni's quest is the most interconnected to all other quest lines in Elden Ring. If you as the player choose to pursue her quest line, you get arguably one of the "happiest" endings of the game - though one filled with loss and tragedy along the way, because it's still a FromSoft game.
Many players may not realise how this is a good ending, however, unless they know about the wider implications. Every other ending involves the influence of outer gods - from the Lord of Frenzied Flame to even the Greater Will itself. These are all essentially powerful beings trying to take control of the Lands Between.
However, in Ranni's case, she rejects the Outer Gods, especially the Greater Will. In ascending to godhood, she chooses to journey into the stars, leaving the Lands Between godless, allowing them to decide their own fate. Her ending means independence from corrupting influences, freedom for those left behind.
It may not be perfect - none of the endings are - but it's absolutely worth pursuing - especially because she's the only character you get to marry, and her quest gets you the iconic Greatsword across many FromSoftware games.
