Elder Scrolls: 10 Best Dark Brotherhood Assassinations

This is 'Destroy The Dark Brotherhood' but done right. Halfway through the quest-line, you get the orders to wipe out the entire sanctuary of assassins that you've spent so much time with. Chances are you will have bonded with them as you ask for advice and perform quests, so having to turn on them and wipe them out is quite a big leap.

It is also incredibly well done, as if you manage to play your cards right, you can exploit each of the assassin's weaknesses. If you pay attention to their schedules and listen to them when they talk, you can outmanoeuvre them, making your hours of bonding not entirely meaningless.

It's one of the rare sombre moments in the game if you actively engaged with the questline, as the characters are somewhat likeable. And killing off your own comrades is an unprecedented move, making it all the more impactful.
