Elder Scrolls 6: 10 Features It MUST Have
1. More Choice Impact
One thing that Elder Scrolls games have never been lacking is the amount of choice that the player has. Skyrim displayed this best with its Civil War storyline, allowing you to decide between the Empire or the Stormcloaks and change the outcome of the Civil War.
The results are not always grand ones, though. There are small choices to be made too, like how you are going to assassinate the imperial noblewoman at her own wedding, or how you are going to steal the bill of sale from Aringoth's safe. Each of these choices takes your playthrough down a subtly different route. These choices often lack true meaning or lasting effects.
Games like The Witcher 3 have shown us what can be done. Given enough time and effort, game devs can wind narrative and player choice together in such an immersive way that makes you responsible, be it good or bad.
There is room for similar improvement in The Elder Scrolls 6. The hardware alone has come leaps and bounds since Skyrim. With this, game designers are finding more elaborate and inventive ways of weaving game-changing events into the player’s choices and actions.
