Elder Scrolls 6: 10 Things Fans Want To See

8. Spell-Crafting

Elder Scrolls 6
Bethesda

Whilst unbelievably broken and exploitable in Morrowind and Oblivion, the option to create your own spells was an ingenious addition. Being able to combine different effects and essentially become a god in doing so was a lot of fun. Not to mention it made stacking spells on yourself whilst going into battle a lot easier.

Skyrim's system was more refined, but a lot more boring. You had really standard spells with most of the offensive options being dull twists on ranged spells. When compared to the spells you could have in Oblivion, it seems rather restrictive.

So, bring back the spell crafting. With a little tweaking, it could be made balanced and would make a really good addition to the game. Then again, being able to summon full armour, a pet wolf, whilst charming all the characters in the area, and casting the next post-code into Oblivion with a single spell was glorious.
