As Patron of the Spurned, the Ostracised, the Bloody Curse, and Keeper of the Sworn Oath, Malacath has the sort of lofty fantasy titles you would expect from a pseudo-demonic Prince.

Not considered a proper Daedra Prince by the others, this makes it somewhat amusing to rank them above nine others. They are especially associated with Orcs, with the creation of that race and the creation of Malacath going hand in hand.

The very presence of Orcs keeps Malacath relevant. Beyond that, due to the Orc settlements that can be found in faraway corners, Malacath's domain of ostracism, and the way these are depicted in-game rather than just alluded to through in-world texts, gives them a powerful sense of presence that some of the more absent, aloof Daedra fail to capture.

Plus, Malacath has some great one-off artefacts to acquire, too.
