10. Better Control Over Companions/Followers
Everyone remembers Lydia, the Housecarl who gets assigned to your humble abode in Skyrim, turning into your first loyal companion in whatever quest you then take her on. If you managed to keep her alive for more than a few minutes then good on you, as the Follower/Companion controls in Skyrim were severely limited - poor Lydia's head was simply destined to go the opposite direction to her body at some point. For Fallout 4 it looks more like Bethesda are creating a combination of this basic 'follow/wait' command, whilst hopefully bolstering it with New Vegas' companion wheel that was far more in-depth in terms of assigning specific weapons to characters and placing them around the battlefield. Although TES should remain wholeheartedly a single-player experience, there is definitely room to put together a band of warriors from any respective town you roll into and have them accompany you towards your next goal. By refining the ease of access that comes with just pulling up a wheel to issue commands and ensuring the options therein are useful in a tactical sense, it could be a great way of expanding your options in the field.
