Every 2020 Video Game Delayed Into 2021

6. Dying Light 2

Halo Infinite
Techland

Dying Light was a fantastic game that blended fun parkour traversal with an open world full of undead trying to kill you. To give the title an extra twist, at night time special infected began hunting you down, giving the player something to really fear as they tried to rush back to base. The game did really well and it seemed like a sequel was almost certain.

Fans of the game were happy to see that there would in fact be a sequel. Announced in 2018, Dying Light 2 was given a release date of 2020 and a gameplay demo was even shown off. The game looked like it was in a good stage of development and fans had no reason to expect any delays. But sadly in January of this year it was announced the game would be delayed indefinitely, and this is before lockdown has begun to affect things.

While we can be hopeful that the game may still release in the later months of 2021, there is always the chance it could be delayed until 2022. Far worse, it may never be released, as since its delay was annoucned there has been near to no news about the title.
