5. Psychonauts 2
Psychonauts 2 is a game that fans have been wanting for years, so when it was revealed that a sequel was in development things were looking good for the franchise. As the trend goes with games featured on this list, it was hit with a delay and in December 2017 fans were told they would have to wait until 2019 until they could actually play the game.
But by July 2019 developers Double Fine realised that the game just wasn't going to be ready in time and ultimately decided that the game would be delayed until 2020 to assure its quality. While fans may have been displeased that they would have to wait further, it was good to see that Double Fine were taking the development of the game seriously.
Sadly a year later in July 2020 the game was delayed again for the same reasons. The game just seems to be getting further and further away. But if it's any consolation, since the delay, a Xbox Series X optimised version of the game will be released alongside the normal version.
