9. Both Wonderbook Games

Whilst most Harry Potter games fulfill every fan's fantasy of running around Hogwarts, talking to professors, learning spells and going on adventures, the two Wonderbook: Book of Spells & Book of Potions titles go one better by standing out as one of the few games based on the universe that allows its players to become a full student of the wizarding world as themselves.

Making the most out of the PS3's Move and Eye technology, and requiring a Wonderbook peripheral to play, Book of Spells is a game filled with spells and powers created by JK Rowling herself that players can learn by using the motion controls as a way of waving the wand. It's a novel gimmick for the time, but one that doesn't exactly have a lot of replay value.

Book of Potions came out a year later and improved this aspect dramatically. The potion creation process includes more ingredients and actions that allow the motion controls to really flex themselves a little more, whilst adding a couple more fun potions to the Harry Potter lore.

These are two simple, gimmick-heavy titles, but they're also two games that know exactly what they are. They offer some pretty harmless fun for a certain demographic, but are hardly going to eat up hours and hours of a player's day.

Horror fan, gamer, all round subpar content creator. Strongly believes that Toad is the real hero of the Mario universe, and that we've probably had enough Batman origin stories.
