Every Harry Potter Video Game Ranked Worst To Best
5. Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban
The third film and third game in the franchise, it's fair to say that the Harry Potter series was well and truly riding the wave of popularity by the time Prisoner of Azkaban hit people's screens.
The big new feature with this game is that of teamwork and collaboration. Whilst it is only a singleplayer adventure, the game introduces the mechanic of being able to swap between Harry, Ron and Hermione through levels, challenges, and dungeons. Each character has very different skills, spells, abilities and pets that help lend this game a reasonable level of strategy to each of its parts.
There's also the added benefits of a bigger, more expansive Hogwarts to explore, and a more thoughtful adaptation of the source material. Everything about this game just feels so in stride. By this point, EA knew what was working with the series and were more than happy adding in some nice new elements to keep things moving along.
Overall, there's a lot to enjoy with Prisoner of Azkaban. It's a solid upgrade on the graphics, mechanics and open world on the games before, and throws in a solid new feature in swapping in-between characters to make a welcome change to things.
