Every LittleBigPlanet Game RANKED
4. Sackboy: A Big Adventure
The latest game in the franchise, Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a great game - it's just not a great LittleBigPlanet game.
Sackboy's whole identity revolves around creativity so it's weird playing a LittleBigPlanet game where there is no creative mode. It makes sense that this game doesn't have a creative mode, as a 3D creative mode would be difficult to make and also kind of redundant - Dreams is essentially just 3D LittleBigPlanet. It's just that throughout the game you'll often get excited at the prospect of using a cool item you see in a level in your build, only to quickly remember that you can't do that here.
But this isn't called LittleBigPlanet 3D, instead, it's named something much less appealing (really, Sackboy: A Big Adventure? It's already hard arguing with people that the cartoony games I like aren't exclusively for kids). Since it tries to distance itself from the LittleBigPlanet series, it should be judged on its own merits and by looking at it like that it's pretty great.
The platforming is solid, it's really fun to play the game with friends, and each level has enough interesting mechanics to keep you entertained throughout.
It's good, it's just not LittleBigPlanet.
