LittleBigPlanet 2 took everything from the original game and made it 100 times better. No longer could you just create levels, you could now create games.

Sackbots allow you to have better NPCs in your game, and the ability to control them allows for the creation of playable characters with different abilities. New power-ups such as the Grappling Hook, the Grabinator, and the Creatinator allow for the creation of much more interesting levels that take advantage of the power-ups' capabilities.

The game includes some of the most iconic LittleBigPlanet locations. Da Vinci's Hideout is a unique setting, all taking place in a workshop run by Larry Da Vinci, a Leonardo da Vinci wannabe who just happens to be made out of newspaper.

Just like the original game, LittleBigPlanet 2 also crossed over with numerous different properties through DLC. Sackboy could now hang out with characters from Final Fantasy VII, Toy Story, and DC superheroes among other iconic characters.

Oh, and the game was completely backwards compatible with the original LittleBigPlanet so you could play any community-created level from the original game in the sequel, and any item you collected in the original would also be available to you in LittleBigPlanet 2.
