CD Projekt RED

CD Projekt Red's highly anticipated next project was announced all the way back in May 2012, and was thought to be a case of vaporware for half a decade until it was re-confirmed to widespread hype at E3 2018.

Taking influence from various cyberpunk properties such as Blade Runner, Ghost in the Shell, System Shock and of course the original Cyberpunk RPG, this game was set to tackle a bunch of relevant sci-fi topics.

On the gameplay front, the devs' follow up to The Witcher will once again involve a lot of personal choice as players are afforded the opportunity to tackle the game however they like, even non-lethally should they choose.

However, the game will swap The Witcher's third-person perspective for a more immersive first-person viewpoint.

Initially set to launch on April 16 2020, the game was delayed to September in order to finish polishing the game. Fortunately, CD Projekt Red has confirmed the developers working from home has not altered the game' release further.
