Every Major Video Game Currently Delayed
2. Marvel's The Avengers
First announced back in January 2017 by Marvel Entertainment, this game was due to be jointly developed by Crystal Dynamics (of the new Tomb Raider games) and Eidos Montreal (of the new Deus Ex games). This project was then given a full showcase at E3 2019 to widespread hype and even a short playable demo of the opening level.
The game takes places five years after a devastating incident on A-Day in which the titular team is blamed for, for once setting Earth's Mightiest Heroes on the back foot. This would then play out over a narrative which is said to allow players to control the titular team either in singleplayer or online multiplayer in order to seek out the true cause of the A-Day incident and redeem themselves in the public eye.
It was initially set to be released on May 15 2020, but it was delayed until September 2020 in order to allow the development studios more time to bring together their vision for the game.
