Sunset Overdrive isn't only one of the most underrated games released so far for the Xbox One, it's one of the most underrated games of this generation period.

Taking inspiration from the frantic energy and kinetic movement of, weirdly enough, the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater franchise and combining it with the balls-to-the-wall open world design of the original Crackdown, Sunset Overdrive was a surprisingly unique take on the sandbox genre at a time where almost every other game was trying to be like GTA or Watch Dogs.

The relative failure of the risky title following its release probably had more to do with the tone-deaf marketing than anything the shooter itself actually did wrong, which was a shame because it probably means we'll never get a sequel to Insomniac's brilliant cult classic.
