Every Soulcalibur Guest Character Ranked!
10. The Apprentice - Soulcalibur IV (Xbox 360/PS3)
The Apprentice, also known as Starkiller, was included in Soulcalibur as part of a marketing strategy for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. This should always be in your mind when you talk about Starkiller’s guest appearance.
Out of all the Star Wars characters that came to Soulcalibur IV, he is probably the most playable, but he’s also a bit of a dork. Who holds a sword like that, let alone a lightsaber? It’s surprising that he doesn’t chop his torso off. But that deceptive play style is what made me like him. He was also somewhat decent to play as and a bit of a pain to fight against. His constant flipping around the place made him somewhat difficult to track, much like the lightsaber duels in the prequel Star Wars trilogy.
Starkiller may have been condemned to the “Star Wars Legends” expanded universe, along with a whole bunch of books and games. He doesn’t have the same legacy that both Yoda and Darth Vader have. But above all else, he was there to promote another game. He would have been a lot higher in the list otherwise.
