Do enough digging online and youll see that gamers are kind of split when it comes to Evolve. DLC aside, many people arent particularly impressed with anything it has to offer, saying that there just isnt enough content to warrant a full price purchase. Others seem to be enjoying it very much. The fact is that Evolve isnt a game that will please everyone. Some will find the design too slowly paced for their liking, as there can be a lot of down time spent running around before encounters. The game can be frustrating and seem unfair, but it can also be really fun when playing with the right people. Its one of those games that is easy to pick up and play but takes effort to master, and once you do it is a blast to play. Sure, a reasonable argument can be made that the game doesnt offer enough bang for its buck, but ultimately that decision depends on what you want. If Evolve sounds like a good time to you and you have some friends that feel the same, chances are youll get considerable value out of it.
