Fallout: 10 Biggest Controversies
3. Bugs, Bugs, Bugs Galore
Video games and glitches are as iconic a partnership as you're every likely to see.
From small indie titles to big budget AAA’s, each game comes with its own set of unique and often disorientating bugs. All games though, aren’t made equal.
Step up, Fallout 76.
Listen, Fallout 76 is an easy target and any game across the franchise could have easily slipped in here. The bugs which came with 76’s launch was compounded by other controversial gameplay decisions like the lack of NPC’s.
Although most of these glitches were simply humours stretched out AI’s and sporadic cloning enemies rather than game-breaking glitches, fans of the series still expected much, much more.
Even though many of these glitches have been smoothed out over time through countless patches, for many first day players excited to jump into a new post-apocalyptic adventure, the nightmarish overextended greeting they received from the worlds NPC were too much to bare.
The chaos which epitomised the release of Fallout 76 caused a surge of refunds, as players ran from this bug laden misadventure.
