9. Hollowed-Out Rock
Game: Fallout 3 This one isnt a clever reference or witty homage, but it is a helpful little secret that every Fallout 3 fan ought to know about. The hollowed-out rock is found at the very start of the game, and should be the first stop for any vault dwellers that are serious about surviving the wasteland. It can be easy to miss this treasure trove, located just outside Megaton, as it initially appears as just a rock like any other in the area. If you walk right up to it though, there will be a text identifier revealing that its hollow, allowing you to loot the inside. Within the hollowed-out rock is a Stealth Boy, sniper rifle and ammunition - all very helpful early on the game. Theres also a mysterious holodisk, which transcribes as, Here's that stuff you wanted. If anyone asks where you got it -- say it was a gift from your grandma.
