Fallout 4: 10 Big Things That Could Ruin It

3. Support For Modding

Something only a handful of developers are realising is just how technically adapt certain members of the public have become over the years - Bethesda themselves actually hired one Alexander Velicky after he created an entire Skyrim campaign all on his own. It's one of those 'brave new world' type possibilities, but even if the console versions of Fallout 4 have their hands tied thanks to Sony and Microsoft needing to keep a close eye on what's doable on their systems, if the support for 4 is anything like 3 (or with Skyrim) it's going to allow for a much more streamlined experience far faster than if we're waiting on the team to fix any issues. Of course this could go the other way, as with endless support for graphics options and other unofficial bug fixes, a ton of console owners will forever be asking what the 'real' version of the game is, as the rest of us get on with whatever works at the time. Either way mod support in a game as big as Fallout 4 would be revolutionary, and when the benefits of essentially having a global development team are hundredfold, they should implement some system of verification that in the end will help everyone immensely.
