Fallout 4: 10 Big Ways Bethesda Have Listened To Fan Complaints
2. Making It A Genuinely Playable First-Person Shooter
With it already established that Bethesda is increasing the difficulty of the VATS system in the game, it becomes absolutely essential that the developers re-vamp the core shooting of the series in order to keep the game fun and enjoyable to blast your way through. Thankfully, the series' signature clunky combat looks to be virtually non-existent in the gameplay trailers we've seen so far. Massively tweaking the combat to make it more in-line with the best first person shooters on the market, Bethesda has essentially made the latest Fallout game as much of a regular shooter as it is a hardcore RPG. Which, for as much as people will complain, is absolutely a good thing. The combat has always been the weakest aspect of Bethesda's Fallout games, so the added depth and the greater feedback that the player receives from this overhauled gunplay will only serve to make the new title that much more enjoyable - and not only that, it will allow the latest release to hold up in the time it takes for the developers to craft some other far-off sequel.
