Fallout 4: 10 Characters We Need To See Again

2. Amata

"And all this time, we're living in a tiny world that's been falling apart for two hundred years."
Fallout 3 players will no doubt have fond memories of their fellow Vault 101 dweller, Amata. We meet Amata through the game's innovative tutorial, which sees players learning the ropes by playing through a series of adolescent scenarios. She's the Overseer's daughter but she's also the player's best friend, and while that forced companionship might mean little at first, it becomes more significant as you're forced out of Vault 101 and into the foreboding expanse of the Capitol Wasteland. Later in the game, a distress signal from Amata draws the player back to the Vault to solve a power struggle that has broken out there between those that wish to open the Vault up, and those who wish to remain isolated; the players actions here decide the fate of all the Vault's residents, including Amata. Regardless, her story is never decisively over, and it's a shame to see one the franchise's best female characters left to such an uncertain fate.
