Fallout 4: 10 Crucial Things Fans Still Need To See At E3
10. V.A.T.S - Or Something Completely New?
This signature gameplay element is the one part of Fallout that, across both 3 and New Vegas, you could show off to anyone and simply watch their jaw-drop. The slow-motion headshot-popping fun of V.A.T.S (the Vault-ech Assisted Targeting System) instantly became synonymous with the series just out of being so enjoyably gory and satisfying - yet it is nowhere to be seen so far. Perhaps Bethesda have done away with it and enacted a Dragon Age-style top-down view more akin to the older games? It would change the approach to combat all over again, as although V.A.T.S. was the perfect meld of old-school turn-taking and newer hands-on blasting, there's plenty room left for expansion or revamping how everything encounters play out.
